Dare to go Black! Black Walls That is !

Recently , I decided to embark on a redecorating mission for my formal living room which is currently victorian style. I will create a hollywood swank piano room with black walls! The walls have been painted and I have to say, the room looks amazing with black walls! I can not wait to reveal this stunning room to you so you can see that black walls exude nothing but sheer elegance!

Black has never been a stranger to the world of interior design. It adorns sofas, desks, entertainment centers, tables and accessories. But consumers design savvy enough to take a risk do so with amazing results!

Black walls are the envy of many because it represents a style that many find unachievable. TalkBoss Roasted Pepper Salad with Feta, Pine Nuts & Basil

This Roasted pepper recipe is great fun to make and kids love it! Servings: 4

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers (any combination of red, yellow or orange), halved, seeded and cored
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 small garlic clove, minced
  • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon seasalt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts (you can add more to your liking)
  • 2 ounces (a scant 1/2 cup) crumbled Feta (or less)
  • 1/3 cup pitted kalamata olives

Holiday Wine Has its Benefits! Drink up!

Wine can prolong your life! So drink up!  Wine can significantly reduce memory loss!  Did you know non drinkers suffer from memory loss at a rate much higher than wine drinkers?

Wine drinkers have a 34 percent lower mortality rate than beer or spirits drinkers. Moderate drinkers suffering from high blood pressure are 30 percent less likely to have a heart attack than nondrinkers.  Annals of Internal Medicine, 2007.  Red-wine  contain procyanidins, which protect against heart disease. Moderate drinkers have 30 percent less risk than nondrinkers of developing type 2 diabetes. Amsterdam’s VU University Medical Center, published in Diabetes Care, 2005.wine345

The possibility of suffering a blood clot–related stroke drops by about 50 percent in people who consume moderate amounts of alcohol.  Columbia University study of 3,176 individuals over an eight-year period, published in Stroke, 2006.

Moderate drinkers are 32 percent less likely to get cataracts than nondrinkers. Moderate consumption of wine (especially red) cuts the risk of colon cancer by 45 percent.  American Journal of Gastroenterology, 2005.

Here’s the kicker! Brain function declines at a markedly faster rate in nondrinkers than in moderate drinkers.  Columbia University study  published in Neuroepidemiology, 2006.

So if drinking wine in moderation  has these wonderful benefits, we also need to eat the right foods so that we look amazing while drinking our wine!   Here’s some great treats to enjoy this  holiday season to help you look your best!

Fitness Quiz: How Motivated Do You Feel?

Fitness is a Way of Life! Working out is a great way to feel good and look good ! That’s because I set goals and then I achieve them!  You have to know exactly what you are going for.  Sure you want to lose weight and gain some muscle but you  feel like you have no direction. How do you keep on track?

Let me make a prediction…  96.8% of my subscribers who actually are reading this have wished they had more passion in the gym. And a full 99% of those still reading, do not have their goals written down anywhere. Why is motivation so difficult?  How come the #1 question I receive is from somebody who asks, “I know what to do, but I just need somebody to motivate me to do it all year round.”
